If you have a prayer request and would like to share it please do so by submitting it using our online form.  There are privacy options for you and it is our utmost concern that your request remain private if that is what you desire.  When filling out the form be sure to tell us if your request can be posted to the web for our church family to view and pray over or if you would like it to remain private.  If you have any questions about submitting your requests feel free to call the church office, 652-3161.

2010-07-01Prayers for surgery and healling
Blood donor's husband is due to have leg amputated today at 1 pm. He had developed bad staff infection in his leg. Blood products saved his life but he will loose his leg. Patient's name is Kevin Watterhouse. His wife's name is Serena Watterhouse. Thank you!
2010-06-19Four month old boy needs heart surgery
Derek Robbins is a 4 month old boy who needs heart surgery in Denver. His dad, Will Robbins, is a blood donor and was visiting with Roberta today and told her the story. So Roberta (Frigon) asked if she could pray with him and put his son on the prayer list. Will said yes and thanks for the prayers!

Please be in prayer for my friend, Stacy Nield. She was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease 6 months ago. She is my age, very active and full of life. She has a wonderful support system and is very optimistic.

“I thank my God every time I remember you.  In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now...”

                                                        Philippians 1:3-5

 

It is with a great deal of sadness that we must write and tell you about our return home.  The IMB has been affected by the down turn of the economy too.  It has made the decision to cut 600 missionary positions in 2010 because of the lack of funds.  Therefore, as the end of our term comes on January 8, 2010, we will not be returning to Botswana to do ministry here.

We want to thank each one of you that has partnered with us (individual or church) to help us do ministry in Botswana.  God has blessed the ministry here.  We leave Africa knowing that a church was planted in the village of Tshesebe and is still strong.  They are now building themselves a permanent block building on their church plot.  Praise the Lord!  Our ministry in Ranaka has been slow, but children are coming for Sunday School and George is teaching a Bible study in the middle school.  As the old hymn says – “We’ve a Story to Tell to the Nations”, people in Botswana are hearing the Good News.  Thank you for being part of that ministry!  Amen!

We are returning to America when there are few jobs to be found.  But we are trusting in the Lord, because we know that He has a new plan for our lives.  We have lived in America – the land of plenty and we have lived in Africa where many have nothing.  We have adjusted to no phones, internet, and very little water.  We will be fine.  God is in control.

“...I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.  I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.  I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation...I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

                                                        Philippians 4:11-13

Therefore, we do feel sadness for having to leave Africa unexpectedly, but be assured that we are very thankful for the 7 ½ years that God has allowed us to serve Him in Botswana.  We want to Praise Him and give Him ALL THE GLORY!!  Amen!  There is a song in our hearts and we are filled with joy as we return home!

2010-03-13Douglas Pitsch family/Gay Ziler-sister
Our oldest brother passed away in Yuma,AZ this past Monday and I will be flying down Sunday morning to be with the family for the services on Tuesday. He did not know the Lord, nor does most of his family so it will be a strange time. --- Please continue to pray for Gay Ziler (my sister) as her cancer has returned in a very advanced stage and she is having a great deal of trouble dealing with the chemo and aftereffects and just with the struggle of going through it. She does definitely know the Lord but is getting really worn out with it all.
